BEND, OR (September 14, 2017) – Just two weeks before the Ducks and Beavers face off in Eugene, Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend (BGCB) will team up again to host the Third Annual Civil War Rally & Auction at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes. On Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 5-9 pm, the rally will bring business leaders, parents, community members, and alumni together in friendly rivalry to support BGCB’s youth development programs as well as Central Oregon’s long-term economic health and prosperity. Early bird tickets and tables are on sale now at a discounted price until October 1, 2017. After October 1, prices will rise to their normal rate, so don’t miss this opportunity! Civil War Rally is a night of fun, friendly rivalry and free child care, sure to bring together even the staunchest of opponents.

“This event, now in its third year, has been a wonderful addition to the community by bringing together EDCO and Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend, raising $186,000 last year for economic prosperity in our region,” said Roger Lee, CEO of EDCO. “This year’s event is sure to continue to raise the bar for a great cause.”

The partnership is a natural one for these two like-minded organizations. Both non-profits believe that successful economic development begins with healthy families and kids. Together, they form a strong partnership that fulfills the promise of a thriving community. Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend’s youth development programs ensure that the economic opportunities EDCO creates today will be met by the emerging workforce of tomorrow.

“We are excited to be entering into our 3rd year with the Civil War Rally,” said Amanda Gow, Executive Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend. “This event is critical to the success of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend and helps keep our programs thriving. Without our local supporters we wouldn’t be able to offer our services and support to the families and young people who need us. We are thrilled to be partnering with EDCO and look forward to seeing everyone on November 9th!”

The Civil War Rally isn’t your ordinary auction. The Riverhouse on the Deschutes will be transformed into a stadium, complete with the energy and excitement of the Civil War football game. Event highlights include:
