In 2022, the Bend-La Pine School District’s average SAT scores surpassed the national average by 57 points. Additionally, the higher education opportunities range from the ongoing campus expansion of Oregon State University-Cascades to Central Oregon Community College’s four regional campuses. Since 2001, OSU-Cascades has been powering Central Oregon's economy with skilled workers in growing industries such as high-tech, bioscience, healthcare, and outdoor products. The growing campus in Bend offers 25 undergraduate degrees and 4 graduate degrees, with unique experiential learning programs, such as SnoPlanks Academy which allows students first-hand experience in product design, supply chain management, financial analysis, and sales.
Central Oregon Community College
The oldest two-year college in Oregon, COCC provides high-quality, equitable college services for over 12,000 students annually at campuses in Bend, Redmond, Madras, and Prineville.
Technical Education and Training
K-12 school districts across Central Oregon offer innovative programs like the Career Technology Education (CTE), which works closely with the local businesses to prepare the future workforce with the technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers.
